People who come to town to look at the art have told us they want to know more about the art and artists. As you know, to display your work in the windows of participating retailers in Cheadle, you do not need to be a professional artist. We accept artworks from professionals, amateurs and those who are exploring issues through art and would like to shine a light on something and/or share their perspective. So please share your creative story and arts background.
Terms:
If you are selling your work, please be aware that Cheadle Arts Festival requests a modest 10% commission. This is important to us because of our grant funding arrangements, so your honesty in this matter is appreciated.
Please note, Cheadle Arts will allocate you a suitable window. We try to accommodate preferences, but these cannot be guaranteed. Artists must not contact shops directly. If for any reason a retailer is uncomfortable with the artist’s work on display, the piece will need to be removed.
