What a great turn out for the Moorland Voices concert in St Giles the Abbot church. The accoustics in the church are really good, so the beautiful voices carried well and combined to make a glorious sound.
We were also treated to the professionals, with guest performers Denise and Stefan who rose to fame on Britain’s Got Talent (worth a watch if you didn’t see it).
Denise and Stefan brought to Cheadle the same humour they showed on BGT and treated us to some favourites including Climb Ev’ry Mountain. It was very uplifting, particularly with the audience encouraged to join in. Moorland Voices were well rehearsed and the new musical director Alex Goldsmith admitted he has been testing them with some of the song choices and arrangements. All in all it was very impressive.
At the interval the queue for the delicious cakes circled the building, and the second half of the show was delayed to enable everyone to purchase a slice.

Inevitably, the gorgeous Guide Dog did her best to steal the show, but such was the talent on display she didn’t quite manage it. That is surely an indication of how good the show was!
