Cheadle is blessed with having an abundance of musical talent. This year’s Afternoon Delight saw the return of the U3A Guitar Group and the Cheadle Community Choir plus the very welcome addition of the Cheadle Community Band. What a great line up!
This event is a lovely combination of music, tea & cake, and a light hum of audience chatting and some children sliding about on the floor having a good time. Just what a community event should be. Folk come and go and stay as long as they like. But if you didn’t stay to the very end you missed the Community Choir singing a hugely popular Sound of Music Medley – Yodel Layee 🎶
We loved the way the audience joined in when they knew the tunes. We also loved how much cake was consumed – barely any left over and some ££ takings to support the Arts Festival.
Thank you to everyone who sang, played, moved furniture and ate cake. Another successful event in the Arts Festival Calendar.
And huge thanks to OUTSIDE for the grant funding that enabled us to keep this as a FREE event.
