Sue and her felters had a terrific time at the recent felting workshops in the Library. We would like to say a huge thank you to Sue for sharing her expertise with those keen to give it a try. The small workshop cost was only to cover the cost of the materials that Sue sorted out in readiness. As you can see, everyone achieved a brilliant felted thistle picture.
Similarly, Catherine shared some of her knowledge of watercolour painting in a session at the Fire Station. Again, no fee was charged other than to cover the cost of the materials that were provided. The participants tried their hand at wet-in-wet, wet-on-dry and negative painting techniques to produce these flower pictures in under 3 hours.
The Arts Festival is truly indebted to all the volunteers who give up their time for free to make Cheadle a more creative place. From the feedback it would seem that a good time was had by all attendees.
